Here to Stay is the BGMC’s tribute to George Gershwin, one of America’s greatest
composers for the stage, screen, and concert hall. Selections include S’Wonderful, Embraceable You, Strike Up the Band, I Got Rhythm plus the Rhapsody in Blue in a long-lost
version for orchestra and chorus.
The disc was recorded live at Jordan Hall and is accompanied by orchestra. Of the concert, Bay Windows said, “…as always they conveyed such joy in the sheer act of singing… the
songs were great — and the boys were in high gear.”
