Join us for our first in-person gala since 2019. In 2022 Boston Gay Men’s Chorus is proud to launch empower (education + music = power), our next iteration of educational outreach. It’s a continuation of 40 years of supporting LGBTQ+ youth. At ENCORE 2022 we are proud to introduce the program and its impact. Funds raised at ENCORE 2022 supports the work that BGMC does, including its educational outreach.
Our friends and partners at Boston Children’s Chorus will launch the evening’s entertainment. BCC harnesses the power of music to connect our city’s diverse communities, cultivate empathy, and inspire social inquiry.
The evening hosts and special guest performers are the stars of Disney’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Frankie Rodriguez and Joe Serafini.
Frankie Rodriguez is an actor and singer born and raised in sunny CA! For the past 3 seasons Frankie has played Carlos in the Disney+ GLAAD Award-winning show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series playing the first openly gay character in the franchise. Joe Serafini is an actor, singer & musician currently starring as Seb on the Disney+ original series, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. A Pittsburgh native, he has been performing on stage regionally for most of his life. He is a recent alum of the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts studying Musical Theatre. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
