Join us for a joyous celebration of life! 175 voices and six piece orchestra with the most elaborate multi-media presentation we’ve ever done. It’s an entertaining and inspiring show featuring music that includes Elton John’s “Circle of Life” from “The Lion King.”
The show starts with the East Coast premiere of “#twitterlider”––a lighthearted and entertaining view of lives are like in the era of Twitter. Rousing songs like “Up the Ladder to the Roof” support the song cycle of tweets.
Next we are overjoyed to present Joshua Shank’s newest work – a commission based on our Middle East tour last June. Audiences last June gave his “Peace” a standing ovation at Symphony Hall. It has the amusing tale of how everybody floats in the Dead Sea! The piece ends with a triumphant anthem to LGBT rights with words from the Supreme Court ruling on Marriage Equality – a message the chorus learned upon its arrival in Istanbul.
Music Director Reuben Reynolds declares that this is a concert not to be missed – for its musicality, theatricality and uplifting message.
