Alfredo Muñoz
Director of Marketing and Communications
Alfredo Muñoz is a visionary marketing professional and social change maker, currently serving as the Director of Marketing for the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus (BGMC) since December 2022. In this role, Alfredo oversees all marketing and earned revenue channels, contributing to BGMC’s mission of promoting social justice and inclusivity through music.
Before joining BGMC, Alfredo was the Corporate Relations Manager for Boston Ballet, where he forged strategic partnerships with corporate entities at local, national, and international levels, driving forward initiatives that aligned with the Ballet’s commitment to community engagement and cultural enrichment. In the for-profit sector, Alfredo demonstrated his dedication to social change by serving as a founding member and officer for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programming, creating a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
Alfredo’s extensive experience spans several esteemed organizations where he has consistently championed diversity, equity, and inclusion. He has held positions at Verne Q. Powell Flutes in Maynard, MA, Pacific Chorale in Costa Mesa, CA, Pacific Symphony in Irvine, CA, and the Baroque Music Festival Corona Del Mar in Newport Beach, CA. His career reflects a deep commitment to leveraging the arts as a platform for social change and community empowerment.
Alfredo holds a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, furthering his expertise in public administration and leadership with a focus on arts & culture management. He also holds a Social Impact Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Boston University and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from California State University, Fullerton. Additionally, he has received specialized training from the League of American Orchestras and The Juilliard School as an Essentials of Orchestra Management graduate.
